I'm still ALIVE!

I'm back from my 4-month long hiatus! *ducks the rotten vegetables being thrown at me by the angry mob* My bad! I've just been too lazy, even though I've formed dozens of entries in my head, ranging from the extremely nonsensical to the very angsty.. Lol. However, to pacify you guys, I will give you a treat!
Presenting to you: *drumroll please* Czenthia Design! I've been partially busy with this website.. It features many handmade jewellery that we've painstakingly toiled over! *insert a Lockhart MegaWatt Grin®* Please take a look, and if you like what we've done, kindly pass the message around! The site's just started up so we need some publicising.. Moreover, by telling other people about us, you get a 10% discount off any item! (: Here's a preview of our products..

Nice right!! Well, the earrings aren't sold on the website, but just to let you know what we can do.. (: So, what are you waiting for?? Visit Czenthia Design RIGHT NOW, and shop to your heart's content! x)

Ok, enough publicising, I think. Now to blog about recent events.. Like MY BIRTHDAY! =D I'm finally 17!! Finally caught up with the class! But stupid people like Sylvia make my effort seem like a waste, since her 18th birthday is in less than a month.. -_- But my sweet 17th was fun anyways (:

It started out with a pleasant surprise gathering, where Pris, Esther, Sylvia and Jinx lured me to Sakae Sushi, and presented me with.. Guess what?
A BOX OF GODIVA CHOCOLATES!!!!!!!!!!
*dies of happiness* Now I know why people willingly pay a bomb for these chocolates.. Each morsel of the chocolate is like a gateway to heaven.. Smooth, velvety, sweet chocolate in your mouth that brings you instantly to a state of euphoria.. After eating these chocolates you'd never savour normal chocolates anymore- unless you've been deprived for a long time, then that's ok. Unlike the normal chocolates you buy in the supermarket, there is no trace of oiliness in the aftertaste.. All that lingers is the mild, bittersweet taste of the cocoa that reminds you of the heavenly delight you've just experienced. And the bittersweet taste is both literal and metaphorical- you feel ecstatic at having eaten such wonderful chocolate, but bitter that there's one less piece left. Lol. I've taken pictures!

After the little gathering, Pris followed me home (get your brain out of the gutter, mo) and forced me to change into a dress. -_- Then we headed down to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to meet my wonderful best friend cum first ever les partner, ni! She treated us to Gelare!! =D Yummy-licious chocolate-y waffle! I attacked the waffle viciously, and as soon as we finished, we went Bugis to shop! HEHE. Ni bought me a really nice skirt for my birthday! Couldn't wait to wear it, and so I did for our first date after my birthday x) Me and ni did another of those let's-both-buy-the-same-thing-and-wear-it-together things, and this time the victim was a nice brown blouse. Moo Hahaha! Pris was our fashion consultant, flaunting her shopping prowess.. @_@ She gets along so well with the shopkeepers.. Lol. She got herself a pretty black dress, that she went home and decided isn't her style -_-. But ah wells.

And of course, what's a birthday without a birthday cake?

Yummy! Thanks Dajie, for getting this delicious cake! (:

Seventeen years has passed since I was born.. Since then I've evolved from..

This..

to the crazy woman you see up there. *points upwards* Lol. Took a picture of one of my cuter baby photos xD I looked so un-evil and innocent then!!

And now for the chalet! It was held from 6th to 8th December, at a HomeTeamNS chalet in Pasir Ris. It was fun, but a pity it kept raining on our parade.. -_- So we were cooped up in the chalet, playing card games and generally stuffing ourselves silly with junk food. Lol =p The night talks were fun though! Found out quite a few shocking, mind-shattering morsels of news.. O_O And the BBQ on the 2nd night was quite funny, cos we thought there weren't any plastic cups, so we just decided to be lazy and drink directly from the PET bottle, only to find a big plastic bag full of utensils.. LOL! To think we were being such messy slobs!! Hehe. The messy-slobing part was fun though xD

Christmas is coming!! 34/06-ers, if you haven't read the class blog, go read it now! Details for the Christmas party at my house are there.. Though the likelihood of anyone reading my blog before the class blog is close to nil, since I've never blogged for ages.. Heh. I baked christmas cookies!! Toiled over them for almost half a day, and these are the results of my effort:

Aren't they gorgeous?? (: I forgot about how an excess of vanilla extract can cause cookies to have a spicy, bitter aftertaste, so.. *winces* Reminds me of the lit project we did- the whole pretty!yucky!cookie VS ugly!yummy!cookie thing.. ):

Have a happy, magical Christmas! (:

I think I'm developing an exclamation mark addiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How!!!!!!!!

Lol.

Happy National Day, Singapore!!

*cringes* Yeah, I know.. Haven't blogged for ten million years and all that.. Didn't I already say I'll be going on random indefinite hiatuses?! Besides, I've been busy!! ...Busy playing Final Fantasy VII, that is.. Heh.
Anyways, I went to watch yesterday's fireworks (: Had a fantastic view since we (me, mo and ni) went at around 6.30pm.. Lol. Ate chips, took photos of ourselves doing stupid poses (shall upload when ni sends me), played cards, and stoned in general. We came up with this conspiracy theory that some evil megalomaniac has planted some energy sucking crystals in every JC; crystals that would slowly but surely suck the life out of unsuspecting JC students, making them lethargic all the time. Aack! Oh yeah, back to the fireworks festival.. Yesterday's theme was Singapore!! (: Downpoint was that they played loads of National Day songs on loop, so we heard 'there's a new moon arising, out of the stormy sea' at least 4 or 5 times. Not sure which, since I couldn't be bothered to count after the third time. *glares at irritating person who chose the songs* And talking about 'new moon'.. You know how the crescent moon on the Singapore flag symbolises Singapore's youth and the new nation thing and all?? I was wondering.. What would happen to the flag say, 1000 years down the road, when Singapore would be 1041 years?? Would the crescent moon be upgraded to a full one, allowing the future government to say that Singapore has come a looong way, and prospered and grown to an old but thriving nation with 1000+ years of culture and heritage??? Or would the moon stay the way it is, since Singapore would still be young, relative to the other countries?? Or maybe there wouldn't be any more flag *knocks on wood*, since Singapore (and the rest of the world) has been decimated by some evil dude who decided to rain the world with hoardes of nuclear bombs?? If it's the last option, I'd say that the evil dude is pretty dumb destroying the Earth, when he could have just threatened everyone with the bombs and gone for world domination instead.
Oops. Just realised that I've sidetracked so much that I still haven't talked about the actual fireworks. Lol. But what can I say?? I was staring at them in awe.. (: Though there were so many being let off at once, I didn't know which one to concentrate on.. *shrugs* And during the fireworks, I couldn't help but notice the minature 'lightworks' from the windows of the surrounding buildings.. Lol. And in case you don't know what I'm talking about, I was referring to the camera flashes.. Anyways, noticing the lightworks from the windows made me wonder what it would look like from the bridge opposite, since the pathway linking Esplanade and the Merlion Park was lined with cameras on tripods, poised to take snapshots (and perhaps videos) of the wonderful fireworks.. And that thought led to others, like feeling pity to all those viewing the fireworks from their camera screens.. Come on! Are you there to actually enjoy the splendour of the fireworks??? Not to say that I'm not appreciative.. Hehe. Great for rememberance (:
And after all that lengthy verbose, I shall finally describe the fireworks themselves!! (: The ones I liked most were the ones that looked like glitter raining down the sky. Really pretty, and reminds me of the Aurora Borealis (: Human's very own miracles (: Also, the huge, multi-coloured ones were nice too! The crowd was whooping when that one was released.. Or rather, I was whooping and the strangers nearby were prolly wondering who's that weird, psychotic person that hasn't seen fireworks before.. *snickers*
After 15 minutes of awe and wonder, the sky was hazy from the fireworks' smoke.. It is fair for us to pollute the sky (and block the full moon) for our own pleasures?? Feels as if we're disregarding nature's own miracle (the moon) in preference for our own man-made ones.. *shrugs*
The 2.5-hour wait was definitely worth it, though (:

New Blogskin, Yet Again

Uh. Yeah. I know what I said yesterday, alright?! And I just proved myself right.. I think. And as Dragongirl16 made Dumbledore say in Faith, 'It is harder to forgive someone for being right, than it is to forgive someone for being wrong.' Yes. That would mean..
I CAN'T FORGIVE MYSELF.
*insert bouts of angst, depression, self-depreciation, despair and woe here*
Oh yes, you might as noticed from my blog title (if not the glaringly obvious background), that I have changed my blogskin! HOOZAH! I've changed it twice this year already.. Talk about spontaneity! *grins* Well, actually I changed it because I realised A LOT of people are using my old one, and I don't like using what everyone else is (except for the Internet, books, MSN Messenger, food, chocolate, clothing, air, NeWater, you know the works). Lol. Reading what I typed in the bracket makes me question my priorities.. So pardon me for my following outburst:
WHY IS CHOCOLATE AFTER FOOD?!
Hehe xP

It seems like my post yesterday on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is somewhat lacking. Wanted to recommend Old Chang Kee's soft squid and crab claw. They taste real good, especially if you hold something against Davie Jones' grotesque features, apparent lack of hygiene, cruelty, or for killing Captain Jack Sparrow in general. Yum.
Anyways, why is the chest called the Dead Man's Chest?! Davie Jones is neither dead nor a man! So the name is kinda ineffectual.. You may be thinking 'Why don't PurrpleCat name it if she thinks she's so great?!', or somewhere along the lines. Well, I don't think I'm great, but I'm going to try my hand at naming it..
How about:
Chest of the Beating Heart- Dual purpose! It'd be pretty obvious for those who have watched the movie, and downright misleading for those living in a cave! They might think that Beating Heart is some dude's name, and that the 'Chest' refers to his.. Well, chest! (The one everyone has. You know, xiong.)
Davie Jones' Chest- Plain and simple. 'Nuff said.
Chest-that-you-do-not-want-to-open-'cos-there's-a-really-gruesome-beating-heart- Ditto above.
Chest of Unrequited Love and Sorrow- Well, you know. He DUG his own heart out just because some lass rejected his undying love.. Even though it was pretty foolish in the first place.
Ok, so the names I've come up with sound utterly ridiculous.. Not as mystical as 'Dead Man's Chest'.. *shrugs*

i have a jar of di-iiirt!

Guess what's inside! xP If you've watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, you'd most likely recognize this line. If you haven't.. Well, you might want to NOT read this post. Or maybe I'll put spoiler warnings for my subsequents raves and rants..
The following are spoilers!
OH. MY. GAWD. This movie rocks (: The cannibal island part's really funny.. 'Winky, winky! Licky, licky!' HEHE. Johnny Depp's so quirky he can act as any eccentric character, and not seem out of place.. *grins* And them swinging around in that ball thing.. Kinda reminds me of Finding Nemo xD Where all the tuna fish were swimming downwards to avoid being sashimi.. Hmmm.. Wasn't sure how to react for most parts of the movie though.. The cannibal island part was funny, yet gruesome. All the whilst being exciting. *faints* Not sure my heart can take the overflow of emotions.. Lol. Same with CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow. He's such a jerk, yet his oddities are able to make people forget about his wrong doings and love him (: But ARRGH! Selfish git! D< Almost killed Will Turner.. Keyword on 'Almost', since good guys in most movies never ever die. *rolls eyes* Not much sense of suspension there, eh? Aye!
Well, I won't comment more on the movie, cos who'd wanna read the ramblings of an unqualified movie critic anyway?! And who said I wanna be a movie critic in the first place?! *snickers* Lol.
End of spoilers!

I'm starting to detect a pattern here.. Diligent postings every day for a period of time, followed by an indefinite hiatus. And back to the regular updates again. However, that said, this is NOT a guarantee that I'm going to be blogging tomorrow! Roawr.

farty arty

Hahahaha.. Had a really amusing conversation with ni regarding FARTS! *does an excited fan-girl squeal* Here's an extract:

busy procrastinating and slacking:
i can't help but chuckle everytime i see your display pic
busy procrastinating and slacking:
can just imagine a comical fart like effect at the squirrel's ass
busy procrastinating and slacking:

busy procrastinating and slacking:

busy procrastinating and slacking:

busy procrastinating and slacking:
arty!
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
LOL!!
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
oh you know
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
tell you a very sad story
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
so chrissy's friend had 4 hamsters
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
and he has those kind of tubes for the hamsters to climb
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
one day they all decided to climb the tube
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
the 1st hamster decided to stop
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
and all the hamsters had to stop
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
the 4th hamster didn't know how to walk out from the back...
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
so the 1st 3rd and 4th hamster fell asleep
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
so the 2nd one tried to climb out over the 1st hamster
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
and they got stuck
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
then the 3rd and 4th decided to squeeze underneath them
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
the 2nd hamster farted
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
and the 3rd hamster died =(
busy procrastinating and slacking:
o_O"
busy procrastinating and slacking:
bizarre
busy procrastinating and slacking:
but stupid
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
yeah
busy procrastinating and slacking:
the 2nd hamster farted and the 3rd died from the fart?!?!
busy procrastinating and slacking:
o_O"?"?"?"?
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:
yeah
busy procrastinating and slacking:
*farts*
busy procrastinating and slacking:
i hope my chair didn't die
busy procrastinating and slacking:
EGADS!
busy procrastinating and slacking:
WHAT IF ZARA FARTS ON ME?!
☆:.니첸.: straight Fs☆:

Wanted to continue in that line but my com restarted.. Dammit. Lol, it still is amusing though.. xD

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! *does a Mary Murphy scream* The finals was DAMN FRICKING EXCITING!!!! Almost fainted from all the excitement.. All the dances were great, though OMFG! I MISSED THE FIRST 20 MINUTESSSSSSSSSSS...... *dies* Oh wells, gonna check if I can watch it on YouTube.. But dammit! A rightful winner, at last! NICK, NICK, NICK!!!!!! =D And now I feel like learning how to dance.. Lol. Even though I have two left feet.. ): Bleah.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! NICK WONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!! WAHOOOOOOO!!!! Hahaha.. Feeling incredibly high-per now xP
Always thought that Lauren Sanchez was a flower vase with fake-looking boobs, but DAMN, SHE CAN DANCE TOO!! Haha.. (:
NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK NICK =D

Oops, I did it again!

Woohoo! New blog template, people! *grins* Isn't it spectacularly green?? xD And that's twice I changed my blog skin in one year.. This time's a spontaneous decision, though! Not too much work, except tweaking the scripts a bit and adding on new stuff..
Oh yes, I bought new shoes again.. Went out with cousin today, wearing a new pair of shoes that I bought last year.. The shoes were already killing me when I reached my destination though.. *winces* And now I've got my very first blister.. Never had any before.. *whimpers* Hope it wouldn't hurt too much.. ): But my new shoes are nice!! A tad too ex at 20 bucks, but they were at 50% off!! =o And the heels are kinda high.. =x Bought from mondo.. Hui jun (my cousin) bought a pair of purple pumps for the last night of her cruise there too! So cool, huh! Her class is going on a cruise trip as part of their curriculum.. She's taking Tourism and Resort Management at SP, I think.. Bleh. JC life pales in comparison.. *shrugs*

female vs male bonding

There's nothing like shopping for some female bonding! *grins* Just went shopping with my mom and two sisters, and I'm now the proud owner of three new pairs of shoes! Haha.. Used to scoff at the accounts of women who succumbed to the temptation of shoes, but now I empathise.. xD Took photos of them using my phone, and they'll be uploaded shortly.. Oh yes, I also bought a pair of shorts and a cool racerback..
Edit: As promised, photos! =D

Whee-hee! Pretty black pumps, with a nice black rose (:

Shopped with ni on tuesday too! Before and after watching the Da Vinci Code- which I shall expound on later. Saw a lovely pair of shoes at this shop in cine, selling for $19.90!! Was deliberating as to whether to buy them, and asked ni: "Oak, Maple, Yew, Holly or Willow?" (If you're well-acquainted with me you should be familiar with this method of decision-making) Out of these, 4 were 'No, I shouldn't buy the shoes' and only ONE was 'Yes, I should buy the shoes'. Aaaaand, you've guessed right! Ni picked Yew, which was the only 'Yes'. Oh wells, guess it was fate that I should buy them.. Marched straight to the shop and asked for a new pair (the display pair was my size), only to find out the display pair's the last of my size. DAMN. So I ended up not buying, consoled by the fact that Bugis Street is the shopping haven for those a little short on budget..
Welcome to Bugis Street, home to magpies and alike! In case you didn't get what I meant, magpies love shiny stuff. Go figure. Bought a really nice pair of earrings (: Me and ni both bought the identical pair.. Hehe. Shall upload a pic later, along with those of the shoes. *grins* Oh yes, ni also bought a new school bag! For $___. Hah, not stating the price in case her mom's reading my blog or something. Lmao. But I can tell you it's kinda ex, and when we went back to the ground floor.. Well, I guess it's encompassed under Murphy's Law or something; that people are doomed to see something better after making their purchase.. *shrugs* Happened to me after I bought my Zen Neeon last year and phone this year.. *growls irritatedly*
Edit: Pictures of the earrings, and a stuffed toy-cat I bought at cine (:

And now it's time to hear me ramble about Da Vinci Code. As well as make several heated complaints about which part wasn't in the book and so on.. Well, first up- THEY MISSED OUT THE COMMENT ABOUT HARRY POTTERRRRRR!!! *sulks* Can't remember exactly how it goes (I only read the book thrice), but it should be something like this:
(Forgotten Name of a Character): 'The quest for the Holy Grail has been depicted in the best-selling book of the world.'
Captain Fache: 'What?! You mean Harry Potter's actually about three kids searching for the Holy Grail?!'
(Forgotten Name): '-_- No, I'm talking about the Bible.'

If you happen to be reading that part now, and it's not word-for-word correct, let me know what's the exact phrasing please! (:
Anyways, wasn't that just darn funny?? I was awaiting that moment to bark out a hearty laugh!! *sulks* And it didn't happen..
Would love to rant more about the movie, but I've been hit by a sudden wave of lethargic-ness (what's the proper term?).. So, yeah.. Too bad for you xD

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention what male bonding is.. Should be pretty obvious, but if you still don't get it.. It's football season, the phrase 'world cup' is heard more than ten times a day, World Cup logos are all over, and lots of men are hyped up over it.. Well, some women too. I personally do not find entertainment in staring at a tv screen that shows (how many?) specks of men running all over a vast green field for 90 minutes, only with the occassional goal. The back flips are spectacular, though.
